"The Other Synapse" / "A Outra Sinapse"

Recebi a honra de ser convidada pelo Santuário Vale da Rainha para realizar uma arte que homenageasse ao lindo Mestre Inacinho, um boizinho que fez a sua passagem há pouco tempo.
 
Mestre Inacinho foi resgatado ainda bebe pelo Santuário há sete anos. Ele foi descartado da indústria do leite, por ser macho e por ter sérios problemas neurológicos que faziam com que ele não conseguisse andar bem e que caísse com frequência, dentre muitas outras afeções resultantes de maus tratos e de não lhe ter sido permitido o seu direito primordial ao nascer: se amamentar do leite da sua mãe. 
 
Antes de iniciar uma pintura, sempre procuro saber mais da história de quem vou pintar. Quando perguntei qual era a principal característica da sua personalidade me falaram: uma imensa gratidão e amor que ele expressava sempre com todos os seus cuidadores, inclusive com um pintinho que era o seu melhor amigo.
Também perguntei porque tinha sido chamado de “Inacinho” ao chegar no Santuário, e a resposta foi em homenagem a Dom Ignácio de Loyola. Porém, ao procurar o significado associado ao nome “Ignácio” encontrei palavras interessantes: “fiel, ardente e carinhoso, intenso” ...” que busca estar sempre demonstrando seu amor a todo instante e espera que a pessoa amada faça o mesmo”.
 
 
E apareceu a pintura à minha mente: o Mestre Inacinho rodeado por seres brilhantes e ardentes como ele, como o beija-flor-brilho-de-fogo e as flores do chamado hibisco fogo-da-noite. Na sua volta, uma rede de conexões neuronais cheia de luz, espalhando amor e gratidão incondicionalmente. 
 
O sistema nervoso do Mestre Inacinho estava defeituoso aos nossos olhos físicos por não transmitir direto impulsos nervosos aos seus músculos; mas ele transmitia outro tipo de energia: a do amor. A sua mensagem foi amostrar o caminho da gratidão e do perdão. Escutemos, sintamos. Ativemos essa outra sinapse, essa que nos conecta desde o nosso centro cardíaco, transmitindo ativamente energia positiva para co-criar um mundo diferente- mais sensível, compassivo, amoroso- com todos os seres. 
E assim, o titulo da pintura revelou-se para min:

I received the honor of being invited by the Vale da Rainha Sanctuary to make an art that paid homage to the beautiful Mestre Inacinho, a little ox who made his passage a short time ago.
 
Mestre Inacinho was rescued, while still being a baby, by the Sanctuary seven years ago. He was discarded from the dairy industry, for being male and for having serious neurological problems that caused him to be unable to walk well and to fall frequently, among many other conditions resulting from mistreatment and not being allowed his right primordial at birth: breastfeeding from his own mother's milk.
 
Before starting a painting, I always try to find out more about the history of who I'm going to paint. When I asked him what was the main characteristic of his personality, they told me: an immense gratitude and love that he always expressed with all his caregivers, including a chick who was his best friend.
I also asked why he had been called “Inacinho” when he arrived at the Sanctuary, and the answer was in honor of Dom Ignácio de Loyola. However, when looking for the meaning associated with the name "Ignácio", I found interesting words: "faithful, ardent and affectionate, intense" ... "the one who seeks to be always showing his love at all times and expects the loved one to do the same".
 
And the painting appeared in my mind: Mestre Inacinho surrounded by brilliant and ardent beings like him, such as the Crimson topaz hummingbird and the so called hibiscus fire-at-night flowers. Around him, a network of neuronal connections filled with light, spreading love and gratitude unconditionally.
 
Mestre Inacinho's nervous system was defective in our physical eyes because it did not transmit direct nervous impulses to his muscles; but he transmitted another type of energy: that of love. His message was to show the way of gratitude and forgiveness. Listen, let's feel him. Let us activate this other synapse, the one that connects us from our heart center, to actively transmit positive energy to co-create a different world - more sensitive, compassionate and loving for all living beings.
And so, the title of the painting was revealed to me:
